Track & Field Recruiting Information

Welcome to Azusa Pacific track & field and thank you for your interest in becoming a Cougar.

  • Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian liberal arts university with an undergraduate student body enrollment of more than 4,000 students.
  • The university is located in Azusa, California, in the Los Angeles area, about 20 miles east of Pasadena against the San Gabriel Mountains.
  • APU is the highest placed track & field program in NAIA history, capturing 24 national titles—19 men’s championships and 5 women’s championships—all since 1983.
  • APU has produced over 75 national champions and over 200 All-Americans.
  • Among Azusa Pacific track & field alumni are 10 Olympians, including silver medalists Fatimat Yusuf (1996 4x400 relay) and Brian Clay (2004 decathlon).
