School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences
Profile
Petros G. Malakyan, Ph.D., an associate professor in the School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences, is the initiator of Leader-Follower Trade Model in leadership studies (both leadership and followership are defined as interchangeable human behaviors exercised in various situations). He views leadership and followership as mutually influencing behavioral functions modeled and taught by Jesus Christ himself. Petros integrates Christ-likeness, servanthood, and the non-static concepts of leadership and followership in his teaching and writing. He has taught cross-cultural leadership internationally in the last 10 years. He is the founder of Christian leadership International, Inc. in California and the National Leadership Institute in Armenia, whose mission has been to train Christ-like leaders and followers in the context of the Armenian Apostolic (Orthodox) Church.
