Profile
Don Neufeld has published and recorded more than 100 compositions or arrangements with BMG, Glorysound, Lillenas, Telarc, Resmiranda, and Pauline Records. Neufeld served as interim dean of the School of Music at APU in 1998-99. He earned a bachelor's degree from Pasadena College in Music Education and a Master of Arts in Music Theory from California State University, Fullerton.
Neufeld has been an APU faculty member since 1972 in the areas of music theory and music education. He has produced most of the recordings for the APU University Choir and Orchestra, Bel Canto Choir and Men's Chorale since 1980. In 1991 he composed Azusa Pacific University's Alma Mater. He has composed and arranged music for various university ensembles and serves as a consultant and
resource for various churches and musical organizations. His teaching assignments have included music theory, counterpoint, orchestration, arranging, form and analysis, woodwind techniques, string techniques, brass techniques, percussion techniques, advanced orchestration, advanced arranging, and advanced analysis of form and style.
Currently, he serves as Associate Dean of the School of Music in addition to his teaching and writing assignments.
