Profile
Eric Mathis teaches church music and worship at Azusa Pacific University. Before moving to California, he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Baylor University and served Calvary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, as minister of youth, music ministry associate, and organist.

He has published worship services and articles on youth choir ministry, presented workshops for church music conferences, and coordinated worship services for speakers such as Marva Dawn, Leonard Sweet, Tony Campolo, and James Earl Massey. In addition to these things, Eric has accompanied choirs of all ages, performing under the baton of Anton Armstrong, Donald Bailey, Eph Ehly, Helen Kemp, Weston Noble, Milburn Price, and Randall Stroope.

Mathis, an ordained minister, is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology (Christian Worship) at Fuller Theological Seminary. He earned a Master of Music in Church Music from Baylor University and a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Prior to this, he attended Wheaton College and received a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, an organ minor, and graduated with honors.
