A native of North Carolina, Dr. Rod Cathey first discovered his aptitude and interest in music at the age of 8 when he joined the children’s choir at his church. He has conducted University Choir and Orchestra for the last five years, leading the ensemble on tours to the Pacific Northwest, New York, Washington D.C., Virginia, Canada, and Mexico. The ensemble has recently released two custom recordings: Pure Joy and Music of Heaven.
